"7-Week Shortcut to Public Speaking Confidence"

Success Stories

I have been a public speaker for over 15 years and felt I had a good grasp of what makes a good presentation until I took Lisa’s e-course. I now know there were some important points I was missing.

What stood out for me at first was her explanation of what a public speaker really is. It’s much more than making a speech to an audience. All the skills required to be a good public speaker serve us well when we’re presenting information to anyone whether it be to one person or to a large group.

Lisa has clearly and thoroughly covered every aspect of public speaking in an easy to follow format. This is a course suitable for anyone from any walk of life.

If I had never presented to an audience before I would feel well prepared after taking this course.

~ Barbara Desmarais, Parenting and Life Coach

As someone who makes educational presentations every day - from 5 minutes to hours in duration - I really needed help with structuring my programs.

Lisa's e-course helped me learn how to single out a clear objective and let that steer my presentations. My favorite parts of the e-course were the online referrals to a variety of resources - from blogs to personality tests. This was a refreshing way to identify my strengths and weaknesses as a speaker.

Lisa's public speaking e-course is comprehensive and straightforward... and it's actually fun!

~ Kari Mansager, Assistant Director, Rape Prevention Education Program,  UCSB Women's Center

The e-course helped me by bringing to my attention the little things (paying attention to breathing, studying other speaker's techniques, affirmations, etc.) that make a big difference in effective public speaking.

I found Lisa's course to be very straightforward, conversational, accessible, and relevant to a wide range of speaking needs. The response portions of the course were especially helpful, because it forced me to stop and apply to the material to myself, rather than to simply think of it in the abstract. By being asked to reflect on my own speaking, I was able to better hone in on what needs improving and also to recognize my strengths.

I also enjoyed the homework and tip of the week portions of the course, which both contributed to me reflecting on the material after the week's course had been completed and better prepared me for the following week.

I found the PDF format especially helpful. I was able to print the course and read or re-read the material off-line. As someone who spends a great deal of time online, I found this to be a great asset. I was able to take pages with me on the go, look them over again, and take notes. I prefer this to an online-only option, and I like that I can go back to this course from time to time and take a refresher.

I really liked the idea that everyone listens differently. Some people close their eyes and some people doodle. And the idea of focusing on the audience and not me. That's hard to do but makes a lot of sense. When focused on someone else I'll be less nervous.

I think you did a great job of organizing these and the presentation is really great.

I liked how the duration of the e-course lasted over a period of 7 weeks as it was easier to "digest" the information piece by piece. While reading through each installment, I was relieved to know that these steps are attainable by anyone (including me!).

Reading through the course was a confidence booster (especially week 5) to know that our audience is filled with various types of learners, and that I shouldn't take things personally if an audience member isn't focusing 110% on what I'm saying.

Thank you so much! I've archived your weekly lessons for future reference!

~ Leslie Saito, Educator

The e-course gave me useful tips and pointed out relevant things to watch out for when speaking. I have a presentation to give next week and I'll use for sure your presentation readiness checklist! I also loved the interactive PDF and the exercises. It's not just some note you have to read, it's an effective tool which help you to face your fears and take action.

Thank you so much Lisa for your expertise; I think you have a great talent for communication. I just loved how you organized your content and how it just all made sense! I am now looking forward to my presentation next week. Your course is very smart and useful and I will recommend it around me! I wish you much success."
